National Guard Accidently Burns Herriman, Utah
Major Catastrophic Fire in Herriman, Utah
September 20, 2010 - Salt Lake City, Utah by Juan Carlos Berrios @ 6:20 AM.
A major fire started by the military in Camp Williams in the southern part of Salt Lake City, Utah burns on 9/19/10. The soldiers were practicing with their machine guns when a spark started a fire at 12:00 noon on Sunday September 19, 2010. When the fire got out of control because of the intense winds they called the fire department at 3:30 PM.
At least 5 homes have been burned and the number is expected to go higher. At least 1,500 homes have been evacuated and authorities are urging the public to stay inside their homes as this fire has cover the whole valley of Salt Lake with smoke.
This is a massive disaster for the folks in Herriman, Utah which is located in the southern part of Salt Lake City. The director of MUT Records, Juan Carlos Berrios, reports that this fire is about 15 miles from our offices.
